My morning sickness is back. I'm almost 37 weeks. Could this be a sign that something might be about to happen? I'm SO ready for pregnancy to be over and motherhood to begin. Can't stand the thought of putting up with ms for another 3-5 weeks, so clutching at straws that it might instead be a sign that something exciting hormonal is going on... ?

Just wishful thinking isn't it?!

Nope I've heard of lots of women being sick or having a poorly tum as a prelude to labour- fingers crossed

Fingers crossed for you!

I'm also 37 weeks today and am soooooo over being pregnant, just "get out, get out, get out!!!" boobs aren't sitting on bump anymore so it has dropped.

We've just got the Moses basket out the loft and I washed some clothes at the weekend so could do with packing a bag now!!! Oh well, I work well under pressure so think I'll be less likely to be packing things I don't need if I'm in labour!!!

Kazriina · 09/07/2012 14:16

I'm bribing my bump with names " if you come this week we will give you a good name "

It didn't work last week Sad

Acid reflux has returned with avengance too!

I had terrible nausea at about 38 weeks (worse than in the first trimester) and hoped it was a sign of impending labour. Apparently not...DD born at 40+11 following induction. Sorry to piss on your chips.

vicky228 · 09/07/2012 15:33

I had a return to morning sickness at about 38/39 weeks too, then it passed and I've felt great for the last week or so - now 40+4 and no sign of anything happening. Sorry, but hopefully it'll be different for you!

Bartusmaeus · 09/07/2012 15:38

I had morning sickness on and off throughout the pregnancy...usually when I'd overdone it - could it be that for you?

Cheekychops84 · 09/07/2012 21:24

Yea I deff overdid it nrly ran a mile and half to the school as kids were on scooters and cudnt keep up ha! 4lbsofshite lol u have pissed all over my chips now ! Lol that was so funny Grin

kittykatsforever · 09/07/2012 21:48

Not a sign I've heard of, when they say about being sick I think it refers too when your actually in labour! That is pretty common, hopefully buns will come quickly, I used to tell me dd she could come anytime after 37wks and she was born at 37wks exactly lol - I had no symptoms twinges or cramps til waters broke in the middle of the night, no warning at all

Rachog · 09/07/2012 21:51

Not heard of that as a sign but have my fingers crossed for you. I am 38 + 3 and feel your pain!

Dp has just refused to let me eat any more pineapples!
