God I LOVE S&V crisps

They are my saviour, if I wasn't married, I would declare underlying devotion to them and ask them to marry me.

Have had horrible nausea for past 2 weeks - which was starting at 4am and lasting pretty much all day. Not much actual puking but really debilitating nonetheless.

But a couple of really good salt and vinegar crisps and I am sorted. I've even started keeping a bag by the bed and munching a few in the wee hours. It's like some sort of miracle. All it takes is 3 or 4 and I INSTANTLY feel better. Perhaps it's the salt/low blood pressure or something. Has to be naice ones though - kettle chips or the like, none of your walkers muck.

Please let this keep working. Please please please.

ME TOO!

Little crunchy saviours from nausea, and actually the only thing I reliably want to eat at all..

(Co-op have got big bags of Tyrrells on half price at the moment, but actually it's the co-op own brand truly irresistible ones that really do it for me..)

Often find myself having more than three or four though Blush

I craved chip shop chips plastered in salt and vinegar when I was pregnant. DH would just sit there staring at me while I covered them in it!

Same here. I love s&v crisps anyway and found that they were the only thing I wanted to/could eat when I had nausea in the first three months!!

It was the velvet crunch crisps for me though - much kinder on the calories! Now I've progressed to chip sticks - at least one pack a day!

applecrumple · 09/07/2012 19:52

S&v mccoys were one of my cravings during 1st tri - I even had a massive go at DH for sneaking a pack. Poor guy was incredulous!

MoaningMinnieWhingesAgain · 09/07/2012 19:53

I lived on S+V hula hoops and square crisps while I was pregnant. The 6 packs of hula hoops with only salt and vinegar in are hard to find!

terrywoganstrousers · 09/07/2012 19:59

ME TOO!!!!! With Dairylea. Also craving chip shop chips with S&V.
My fav S &V crisps are cider vinegar based ones (i've become quite the expert!) and in order of preference are Aldi's fake kettle chip cider vinegar and sea salt, then Co-ops own cider vinegar and sea salt, then Walkers Sensations Balsalmic vinegar and caramelised red onion (I know not strictly a S&V but hits the spot) and then all other brands after those three.
God, I am a sad bastard.
All of the above must be accompanied by a Dairylea triangle (only Dairylea will do, have not had success with lesser brands). And pickled onions.
Followed by a swig of Gaviscon Grin

Must tell DP I'm not the only one

MyDaydream · 09/07/2012 20:00

I'm with you with that. S&V crisp sandwiches was all I could face eating at one point. They were so good.

terrywoganstrousers · 09/07/2012 20:00

Oh and I forgot one- those crinkly Walkers baked crisps in S&V are nice too- I munch a bag every Weds while watching DDs swimming lesson.

elizaregina · 09/07/2012 20:03

Glad you found something that works though and jealous Grin.

FreeButtonBee · 09/07/2012 22:53
