I am 39 weeks pregnant.

The past few days i have had a stringy greenish discharge. when i get up in the morning there is alot comes out but over the course of the day there is only a tiny bit. It isnt itchy or smells or burns.
have googled it and some people say its an infection or meconium or mucas plug.

anyone else have or had this?

get care immediately. GP, labour ward or your MW. if it's an infection or meconium you do need attention asap.

LittleWhiteWolf · 09/07/2012 08:44

Exactly what I was going to say.

SlightlyAwkward · 09/07/2012 08:45

Yes,you must phone your midwife right away.

sambrads · 09/07/2012 08:50

im due to be induced tomorrow do you think i should wait til then? i have lost my mucas plug last week after a sweep on friday.
i feel ok and baby is kicking about loads.

O thinly you should phone your mw now, rather than wait. Always better to get checked out ASAP.

juneau · 09/07/2012 08:55

Don't wait until tomorrow. Green is not a good colour to be ignoring!

Chubfuddler · 09/07/2012 08:55

Do you really want to risk this being something serious? I mean is there some massive downside to making a phone call to your midwife (I'd actually just go to the delivery suite if it was me)?

AmandinePoulain · 09/07/2012 08:56

It's great that the baby is moving around but if it's meconium that could be a sign that he or she is in distress so you need to be checked ASAP. Don't wait for tomorrow, phone now.

Good luck.

I had this with dd2, in my case it was because I was leaking waters with meconium in, they induced me straight away, and dd2 was born 4 hours later. I would call the MW/hospital now. Good luck.

SlightlyAwkward · 09/07/2012 09:05

NO,don't wait.
Call now,right now.

hazeyjane · 09/07/2012 09:06

Hopefully sambrads is calling right now.

strawberrypenguin · 09/07/2012 09:08
