Does anyone have any recommendations for good pregnancy books to read - there are so many available!

My OH surprised me with a present of 'The Mumsnet Rules' last week.

Very sweet of him, made me a bit emotional. (but it doesn't take much these days)
It has been a very amusing read so far. I've not looked in to any others so can't compare but I'm finding it both entertaining and informative.

Hi woody
I had Lesley Regans pregnancy week by week by my bedside. Really helped me.
A funny read is how to crack an egg with one hand. Full of random bits of info needed for a mother to be like how to push your pram in the snow and what non expletives to shout during childbirth.......darn it!!

to woody. I was given a lot of second hand pregnancy books (including two of the "Rough Guides" which are good in-the-bath reading, but my favourite in terms of factual information and pictures of the womb-dweller is "Your Pregnancy Bible". It's a large book and has loads of info in it.

Thanks for all the suggestions! Any more from anyone?

I liked What to Expect... It is very basic, but was good to quickly refer to, as it's organised into months, and has common issues for that stage in pregnancy.

I was recommended Birth and Beyond but found it way too "Earth Mother"!
