I have to go to a hospital appointment on tues. to a consultant, is this normal? I don't have any complications, I was a premature baby myself and I'm suffering from depression so could this be why?

You're usually referred for something, it could be your depression. does your letter not say what department/sspecialism?

It just says obstetrics. Could it because I found out about pg late?

How late? Could be.

I moved house at 16 wks and therefore hospitals, as far as the new hosp we're concerned I'd only "found out" at 20 weeks, or something, so had a completely unnecessary consultant appt before going back to the lovely midwives.

I actually found out at 21 weeks, and been in a new area 2 weeks at 28 weeks now x
