Just 20 weeks and am waking up with bad aches in my abdomen each morning - the last two mornings at 2 am then unable to feel comfy enough to sleep.

Sometimes it's that pulling ache of a uti but I rally don't think I have one as no other symptoms. Will get it checked - Could it be uncomfortable guts? I'm sleeping with a,pillow between legs, but any other ideas appreciated! Taking gaviscon too.

Is this it for the next 5 months?!

It's probably just a stretching phase - as the ligaments and tissues start to stretch around to allow the bump more space. I've been getting them on and off since about 18w pg (now 26) and they go in fits and starts for me. You could try putting a flattish pillow under your bump at night (I presume you're sleeping on your side(s), yes?) to support it as well, that might help.

Thanks, yes on sides and the pillow under bump idea helped a little and managed some sleep till now,- oops! Still all very achey though, also round to back too .

Am only 16 weeks, but often get something similar. I find having a wee helps alleviate it, although I rarely feel like I need one. Might be worth a try if you're awake anyways. Sad
