I got told off by my GP last week as I ha a bmi of 37 and was supposed to have a gtt test at 28 weeks. I didn't go as I was confused as what I supposed to do? Something about wake up drink a bottle of lucozade then walk to the hospital to have a blood test? Bearing in mind I was working full time with 2 other kids yea I guess I made excuses but my urine has been clear all the way thru. But still not had the test done so guess midwife will go spare at me nxt week but I dnt no what times the clinic is open etc they are not very bloody helpful at the Drs and now Im worries something could b wrong? I had a growth scan last week which showed baby to b fine I'm 37 weeks she is estimated 6lb 10 which isn't a telly big size?

So basically you didn't go because it wasn't convenient or because you didn't understand what to do or both?

You don't have to any or all of the tests that are offered to you but if you aren't sure what to do for a test then don't hesitate to call your midwife. She will be happy to explain :)

If you want to be tested, that's fine, speak to your midwife. If you don't, that's also fine, just speak to your midwife. I'm surprised no-one has picked it up before that you hadn't had it done x

I was offered it, I declined, they we're fine about it. And my BMI is higher than yours.

If you are worried and want to have it I'm sure they will do it as they take GD very seriously.
If you are worried that the midwife "will go spare" then explain to her that you didn't understand the test, or what you were supposed to do.

No I'm not worried per se jus wasnt sure what I should do as I've Been labelled low risk ? I've only seen the midwife twice prob as it's my third pregnancy ?
