Hi, just wondering if there are any other first timers due soon? Let's offer a bit of support to each other!

My baby is due on Tuesday. I can't quite believe it. I feel both terrified/ dreading it and also extremely excited/impatient.

How do others feel? And what are you doing with your time? I've become increasingly attatched to the sofa having been very active until recently.

I know what you mean about being less active, I feel totally exhausted the past couple of days and would quite happily stay in bed all day! :)

I'm due on Tuesday too! Had reflexology and a curry yesterday in an attempt to get things going but nada as yet!
Getting a bit noted of the whole thing now to be honest, just want to be able to turn over in bed again!!

Great to hear from you all... Nervous I tried the curry thing last week but it didn't work, I just stuffed myself silly then sat around for hours groaning and feeling very uncomfortable...
Turning in bed, ouch. Practically need a hoist. Sometimes consider waking my sleeping DP and asking for his help... might come to that if I get much bigger. Getting very sore hips too...

Fortunately I love tennis so have managed to time my pregnancy quite well to be able to sit around watching Wimbledon. Baby not allowed to come before Murray's match tomorrow though .
Finding I get a lot of facebook and text messages asking "just thinking of you and wondering how you are" (reading between the lines: have you had it yet and forgotten to tell me?)

2weeks tomorrow for me!

Yes... I am eight days overdue :(

I was convinced I was going to be early as well so I feel really over being pregnant. Very uncomfortable! According to mw have been in the latent phase of labour now for a fortnight, which partly explains why I am so uncomfortable; had a sweep yesterday which ramped things up a bit but it's all died down again. Bother. Will be induced on Wednesday if nothing by then.

banjo I have been enjoying the opportunity to watch so much Wombledon too :) And the Tour de France too. Also having the obligatory "any news?" messages (particularly from MIL... we will tell her when it comes!!)

Hm if I start to get 'any news' messages I might just turn my phone off... Until the baby is five days old!

I love the increased messages,they make me smile.

We have kept it off fb so thankfully it's only family texting to 'just see how I am'. It's not as if I'd forget to tell them if I had the baby.

I must admit I do take my time replying sometimes,just to wind certain people up! :o

My due date is in 9 day's but I am getting a lot of very painful braxton hicks mainly on a night time, so I'm hoping it's not going to be too long now.

First pregnancy for me & I am really really scared.... Anyone else getting sharp twinges in the nether regions??

Been off work 2 weeks now and have cleaned and sorted everything so getting very bored of waiting. Thankfully DH has just started up his on business so I can keep busy helping with that.

But yes every I am super super scared....... What's everyone planning on having pain relief wise?? I can't have epidural or peth/diomorphine so maybe thats why I'm a little extra nervous....

Cannot wait to sleep on my front again :)

AwwABaby yes lots of nerve pain twinges from baby's head being engaged I think... have had these on and off for about 10 days...
Pain relief wise I'm hoping for a water birth with gas and air. But will consider anything else if there are complications.
Had 2 horrible nightmares about giving birth last night - thought both were real till I woke up. Surprisingly my first giving birth dreams. The last one was particularly disturbing as the baby seemed to be some sort of dinosaur !!

Hehe banjo In one of my dreams I gave birth to a child in my class (I teach 7/8yr olds!) Disturbing on so many levels!!

Sweep number 2 performed this morning - hoping the contractions are ramping up again now and that I can keep them going this time!

I'm hoping for water/entonox too... although if I do end up being induced I'm not sure how realistic those hopes are. I was told not to forget good old paracetamol too!

I am on the June one. I think I'm the only one left. So much for a June baby.

I'm 9 days over and getting really annoyed with all the 'any news yet? any news yet?' texts and facebook messages. I've just stopped answering them. People will reply to something mundane I've said on facebook with 'any news yet?' and I just think to myself, if I just had a baby would I not be more inclined to post about THAT than some new film that's out . The latest one though is people asking when I'm going to be induced. Those ones are making me angry. I had a sweep on Tuesday and was 50% and 1cm... pathetic! She's coming again today and offered me another one but I'm gonna decline. I've tried everything... sex, walks, baths, curries (accidentally ate a whole chilli), exotic fruits, bouncy ball, raspberry leaf tea... this baby isn't coming til it's ready!
