Blow to the bump - worried

I'm 7 weeks. My just turned 2 year old kindly decided to administer a strong headbutt to my lower abdomen. It was hard and a bit of a shock, I shouted "ouch" but I wouldn't say it hurt. But I am scared it could've somehow harmed the tiny tiny baby in there? A bit upset... Any thoughts/advice?

Thank you for reading

I'm no expert but I imagine as it's so teeny tiny you'll be fine. You could always ring NHS Direct, I've always found them really helpful and reassuring.

I am no expert either but I think the baby is really well protected in there with lots of fluid round it to act as a shock absorber, I would ring the out of hours midwives though so they can reassure you, I have phoned them about once a month (now 39 weeks) whenever I have felt anxious and they have always been lovely despite my sometimes seemingly ridiculous questions!

Agree with Susieloo. My then 1yr old went through a phase of kicking me while I was changing his nappy when I was pregnant. My daughter is healthy and gorgeous. Congratulations by the way x

As PP's I would say that you will be absolutely fine. At the moment, the fetus is only 10mm and will be really well protected. Congratulations
