What will this pregnancy do to my existing stretch marks?

When I was pg with dd1, I was stretch-mark free until 37 weeks when they suddenly all popped up out of nowhere Angry

They have faded significantly over the past 18 months and are now very pale scars, but I'm now 22 weeks pg again, starting to get a bump and wondering what will happen to my poor belly?

Will my existing stretch marks darken again? Will I get new ones? Am I completely wasting my time with the whole bio oil malarkey?

in my experiennce I found that they did re-darken a little, but as baby #2 was no bigger than #1 they didnt actually get any worse overall, and settled back to the way they were post baby #1 a few months after having #2.

i think all the oils in the world are a waste of time and money! they might help firm it up afterwards, but if you are gonna get them then you are gonna get them (lucky old us eh? ;) )

With my DD1 I didn't get any stretch marks till the very very end. With DD2 they didn't get any worse. They looked worse while I was pregnant but once I had given birth they went back to the faded scars that they already were. I didn't get any new ones.

Urgh, stretchmarks! I religiously applied Bio oil for first pregnancy and still got them. They suddenly appeared at 7 months and looked quite severe. I am 22 weeks and I can see new little ones already! Bio oil has done nothing to prevent them. But I imagine everyone's body is different. I thought as I'd stretched already they wouldn't appear this time!

I got a set of new ones, lucky me. I had terrible thick red lines from first pg, then with second I got more, but smaller and going in the opposite direction. Like a crisscross pattern. Gorgeous. Hmm

Mine didn't darken and I didn't get many more although I don't think stretch marks can get stretch marks anyway

I've been wondering the same thing, (am 22 weeks pg) I keep thinking my stomach is going to look a complete state after this :(
However Palmers Tummy Butter is incredible and if used every day does wonders. I've recently bought a new tub to keep them at bay!
