I'm away from 11+1 until 15+1, anybody have any ideas when they will advise me to have the scan? I know that date is important for measurements etc. Thanks for any advice.

Best at 11+0. If you want combined screening for Downs they can do this only between 11+0 and 13+6 - so this is your only day! Dating is also most accurate in first trimester, so try to get it arranged for the day before you go!

Obviously not ideal holiday dates, but 15 weeks is definitely too late to do the nuchal measurement (you can always choose not to have that it you want though!).

11 weeks might be ok- I had mine at 11+4 and they got the measurement they needed. Only problem is if they can't get it, you wouldn't be able to go back for a repeat scan.

If you really REALLY want the nuchal measurement thingy, maybe you can delay you hol by a few days? Otherwise they'll probably just advise you to have it at 11 weeks and hope for the best. Some info here: www.babycentre.co.uk/pregnancy/antenatalhealth/scans/nuchalscan/

If it's just for dating, it doesn't matter so much when you have it.

Thanks for the advice folks. 11 weeks seems to be the way to go.
