My last period was on around the 4th june and lasted for 3 days had sex day or so after and more since my period. Normally though my period is 7 days and now its 6th of july should I contemplate doing a test?

Depends how long your cycle is. But the important thing is the gap between the first day of your period, not how long you bleed for. So assuming your cycle is around the 28 day mark you sound overdue.

Nothing to lose by testing, if it's negative and your period doesn't start in a few days test again.

I am a bit worried as I am normally 28 days and bang on 7 days bleeding so last one was a bit of a surprise it was only a couple of days but as I was holiday I saw it as a good thing.lol

It does sound like a test is the thing to do!
