just wondering when everyone started feeling movement on their second baby? with my first it was around 17 weeks, but I thought it was wind until the midwife suggested it was probably the baby's movements!!! am currently 10+2 weeks and eagerly awaiting the first movement as that is when everything felt more real for me during first pregnancy.

I have my first scan tomorrow too which is exciting!!! Thanks in advance xxx

15 weeks first time, 11 weeks second time

I'm 21 wks with DC2 and could feel 'flutters' really early this time, before my first scan at 13 weeks. By 16/17 weeks I could feel 'bumps' when resting. DH and others have been able to feel kicks for last couple of weeks and i'm noticing them now even when i'm concentrating on other things.

Good luck with scan tomorrow, it's just as wonderful the second time :)

thanks plunkett I'm so excited to see baby!!! I have had an early scan and saw heartbeat so I'm hoping that everything will still be ok and that baba will be a lot bigger this time. I know this may sound stupid but I definitely feel very pregnant and full at the mo...it's weird. Like my womb is really full. Does that even make sense!!!

Ah it does, I think you are more aware of things second time so notice flutters and pregnancy signs earlier.

PipIsOutNow · 05/07/2012 19:17

yeah definitely!!!

I think with my DD, I felt something at about 15wks which I later realised must have been movement, but as I had an anterior placenta, it was quite a while longer before DH felt anything, about 22wks.

Felt flutters & bubbles quite early this time, maybe 10wks, but it was only confirmed as movement at my 13wk scan, as plunkett said. Feeling regular kicks & squirms from bubba now, at 20wks, but again, have an anterior placenta so it takes some effort to feel it on the outside :)

With my first pregnancy I felt definite movement at 20 weeks. Now I'm pregnant with my second, I would say I could def feel movement at 18 weeks (my midwife told me it tends to be at 16 weeks with your second).

MoragG · 05/07/2012 20:41

18 weeks (will be 20 weeks tomorrow).

wishiwasonholiday · 05/07/2012 20:42

13 weeks second time and it was like little taps, ds1 was more like butterflies st 20 weeks.

BellaOfTheBalls · 05/07/2012 21:22

I can't really explain it but it was just a general feeling of movement, like washing machine going round and round or like bubble rising up in a drink. It was definitely baby. Smile

JimbosJetSet · 05/07/2012 21:25

I felt nothing until about 23 weeks with my first, and 20 weeks with my secondHmm

Chunkychicken · 05/07/2012 22:06

I've def got a washing machine baby too Bella as often feel a weird swooshing 'fwump' sort of feeling quite regularly now, before the prods & kicks start up somewhere else!! Grin
