It's twins.

Just went for 8 week scan (due to fertility treatment)

And it's twins! Two. TWO!

Christ

Am in shock

Both a good size and could see two heartbeats.

But two!

ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

CongratsGrinGrin
And yes thst was my reaction too, only I already had two dcs and I couldn't picture myself ad a mum of four (FOUR)! For a few weeks I would lie awake for hours thinking how on earth we would cope!

It is a big responsibility, financislly snd emotionally and I can't even contemplate the idea of university feed, but at 5 months they are gorgeous and adote their big sisters and.., well I have learng not to worry about the future toomuch we'll find a way Smile

Best of luck

And do join the teins antenatal thread, it saved my sanityand my marriage!

silverangel · 06/07/2012 08:11

Congratulations!!

When the sonographer told me at 8 weeks my reaxction was 'oh fuck' and then to hysterically laugh! They're nearly one now and sometimes I still look at them and think two, really?! They're awesome and wouldn't change it for the world.

Good luck x

Cupcakes24 · 06/07/2012 08:15

Congratulations - best news in the world, don't think of it as double trouble but as double the fun, twins are bloody brilliant.

violetlights · 06/07/2012 09:20

Wow! Congratulations! Twins ARE wonderful! (I should know, I am one! :o) To help ease your mind my mother said we were easier to look after than her single babies as we kept each other amused all the time....

IceCubes · 06/07/2012 09:23

Haha exactly what I thought when there were two at my 8 week scan! Having twins is awesome, congratulations! Start saving now though, two of everything gets expensive Grin

xkatyx · 06/07/2012 09:56

That was my same reaction too.

My twins are 6 months old, you have a amazing journey head enjoy it, twins are very special :)

ItsMyLastOne · 06/07/2012 10:02

I'm a twin, our mum went back to work full time at 6 weeks! Grin

Congratulations and good luck!

gardenpixies32 · 06/07/2012 10:08

When sonographer told me at 12 week scan I cried (a bit hysterically). It then sank in and I got very excited. In the last few days I have been a bit panicky and tearful about the birth.

Congratulations on your double bump!

ClaireDeTamble · 06/07/2012 10:11

Congratulations. You'll be needing these t-shirts then

Yorkpud · 06/07/2012 10:11

Great news!! Hard work at first but great later as they always have a friend and can share hobbies etc. You'll never be bored again!!

FourThousandHoles · 06/07/2012 10:16

randomimposter · 06/07/2012 10:26

awww that's such great news!!!

I've always wanted twins, I know it must be no picnic, but how lovely lovely lovely!!!

Enjoy every moment xx

FreeButtonBee · 06/07/2012 10:44

Slightly less hysterical now. Thanks for the link to the twins thread. I may be needing that!

Got a bit tear-y this morning - two little babies just seems like such a responsibility and like there is just much more opportunity for something to go wrong. DH is also worried about the impact on me. Am staying away from the dreaded google for the moment. Fret fret fret. Oh well, I suppose it was always going to be like this with one or two! Two just puts it into focus a lot faster!

That's such a great news Grin I'm a twin and my mum always said we were easier than my brother as we entertained each other! Good idea to stay away from the harbinger of doom google!
