mucus plug lost after sweep????? help!

so i had a sweep done this morning around 10, it was pretty painful but doc told me my cervix was looking really good, im 39 weeks.
so i get home still feeling normal and after about an hour i have a gush of loads of brown mucus discharge with some red clotting in it! is this my show? and if it is does that mean the sweep is working and i should maybe get my bags ready just incase?????? thanks so much xx

I'm no expert, but I'd think you're on your way!
Put the bag in the car then relax for as long as possible.

Yep-that's the idea! Could still be a few days but get things ready just in case!

I had a sweep then lost mucus plug a good 6 hours later, had baby girl about 12 hours after that! Good luck :)

is the brown discharge just a normal part of having a sweep and dosnt actually mean anything? thats what a friends told me :-( x

I didn't have any discharge with all 3 of my sweeps!
Sounds like things are on the way though.

I had show for 2+ weeks and waters went 3 days after my first sweep - sounds like things are getting started. Hope it happens soon!

On your way but you'll know when the contractions finally start - could be hours or a few more days. I had q sore contractions hours after my sweep.
