Anyone past 36 weeks and getting a wee bit nervous?

Ooooh 37 weeks on sat and I'm getting nervous now :/ I no I will be fine cause I have to be but I am getting nervous now . I've done no prep for the birth at all I jus hope being the third my body will jus get on with it an the gas and air will be my best birthing buddy ha ha!

Now have a 7 month old so a bit past the being nervous stage but still remember it well. Guessing this is your first.

It is the fear of the unknown and the realisation that little person is going to be with you soon. Have you packed your hospital bag? One tip is make sure you put in a phone charger before leaving. I didn't expect to have to stay in and didn't really plan for that at all, so had a rapidly dying phone when I couldn't sleep the night that DS was born.

Gas and air is great! But don't feel that you have to rule out other options, just see what works best for you. Is there a birthing pool you can use? If you like baths that might work well for you.

Enjoy the next few weeks, pamper yourself and try to relax. Good luck

Hello, no its actually my third but it has been 5 years since my last birth so im not tha fresh with it :/ im trying to relax i guess its the part where i just dont know when its going to happen as as my other 2 were overdue i still feel i have a long time but possibly not! thanks for the phone charger tip im always on my phone ! will also pack my wifi hehehehe

Damn there goes my thought it would be easier next time around!!

I am also addicted to my phone, I might have to negotiate getting an iPad next time to keep me occupied between visiting hours!

DS was a week overdue, rubbish isn't it. Surely it should be third time lucky for you and this one should come on time.

Ha ha luckily my 2nd birth was a dream ! I used gas and air the whole time they kept asking donu need something else I was like no I'm fine honest (which I was totally away with te fairies) but then I sed to my dp "Urm I think something is happen ing down there " so he had a look And sed I better ring the bell I can see the head [shocked] I was like Urm oh ok lol
