I've read so many posts on MN about the NHS being a bit rubbish, but count yourselves lucky you're not in Ireland:)

I've had a 12 week check up with my GP, where she took my blood pressure and bloods and that is all I've had so far. It is my second pregnancy, with DS my first antenatal appointment was at 16 weeks. I have yet to have a scan.

Whereabouts in Ireland are you?

Is that standard in ROI for them to be a bit slow with getting letters out?

Hope you get your scan soon!!

That's ridiculous ! I've had a rubbish time here too I'm actually seeing the midwife next week (38 weeks) for the third time in my whole pregnancy haven't seen her for nrly 3 months :/

I'm in the West. It's standard at the hospital I'm attending due to cutbacks etc.

I know that the maternity hospital in Dublin do 12 week scans, as do others.
Are you in Ireland too cheeky?

That wouldn't be abnormal in some places in the UK; not every PCT does 12 week scans and you get less MW appointments with DC2.

With my first (am in UK) I remember the midwife turning up at my house when I should of been 29 weeks saying she have 'overlooked my care and needed to catch up'! You should of seen her face when I told her I had the baby the week before and he was now in special care

ah well, at least I'm not the ony one:)
with DS my GP and the consultant suspected I may have been pg with twins, it wasn't until the 20 week scan that I foundd out it was just DS in there!

I keep thinking that ths is twins too, ot of sheer paranoia, so won't rest easy until I get my scan!
