This is my second so the popping bubbles feeling is familiar. I just didn't expect to get it so early on. Anyone else get this at an early stage?

At five weeks you will only have a fetal pole (or that's all I had on a scan at 5+6) I suspect it's just wind Grin

doblet · 04/07/2012 19:38

Definitely not wind. It's a sensation I've only had once before, at 19 weeks pg with dc1

I thought i felt it too am 11 weeks but i have lots of wind too Hmm

SpottyTeacakes · 04/07/2012 19:43

I thought I felt it at 11 weeks but apparently the placenta is anterior so it must have been wind Blush

I had movements very early brcause ive been pregnant so many times and have a slack uterus but like one poster says there is nothing but a fetal pole at 5 weeks so nothing to actually move.

ShushBaby · 04/07/2012 20:19

Without wanting to piss on your strawberries, your baby doesn't have any limbs yet, so it can't possibly be movements! I had strange sensations from early on with dc2, which I put down to my digestive system starting to squish up to make room for my uterus (I had a weird sticking-out 'bump' at the top of my abdomen weeks before I started to properly show). Pregnancy is mad! You'll be feeling actual movements before too long.

Hormonalhell · 05/07/2012 12:41

Fetal pole???? That doesnt sound nice

Florin · 05/07/2012 15:14

At 5 weeks the baby is about the size of a seed!

EarnestDullard · 05/07/2012 15:17

Any chance you could be further along than you thought? If not, as others have said, the embryo is too tiny to be making any sort of noticeable movements yet.

doblet · 05/07/2012 17:06

I was thinking that Earnest. I was sick at 4 weeks and very bloated. Can't get midwife appt for another 3 weeks so I suppose time will tell. Movement could be internal organs shifting in prep maybe? Ribs and pelvis are also hurting which didn't happen till much later last time

I had a weird tingling feeling in one area at the top of my uterus, on my left - maybe in line with my pelvis? It happened infrequently from about 8wks. It wasn't 'bubbles' or any familiar movement, just almost buzzing. I think it may have been a change in blood flow/something to do with the placenta developing, because its exactly where the sonographer held the probe for the dating scan & found baby. A few wks after that initial feeling (maybe 10wks?) I started feeling movement there too, despite an anterior placenta, which again, was only really confirmed as movement at the 13wk scan. Now I feel bubba all the time!!

I used to get real 'limb' kicking movements after my DD was born, but it was definitely only wind. Think your muscles/nerves develop a kind of pg memory!!
