Nausea has gone away, only 6.3- that's not a good sign is it?

I have had some nausea over the last couple of weeks and find that the only way to keep it at bay is to keep full. So I am eating lots but now am now nauseous, however apart from incredible painful boobs I feel fine. I'm tired and going to bed pretty early, but this isn't what I thought early pregnancy would be like.

The sickness bands are fantastic and if I do feel a bit I'll, they work in about 5 minutes.

Now, I'm going to sound like an idiot here but surely I should be feeling horrendously sick? I know there is time for it to kick in.

I'm doing everything to keep the nausea at bay and yet worried because I'm not being sick.

Does this make any sense?

I have been pregnant 3 times and only ever suffered mild nausea (I was never actually sick). Lots of people are the same but i do remember how worrying it was first time round!

Pinkflipflop · 04/07/2012 17:38

Really? That is reassuring. I guess you only really hear and listen to horror stories.

I've not been sick one with 3dc - every pregnancy is different. Be thankful and try not to obsess!

Crocky · 04/07/2012 17:42

I have two dc. With the first one I felt queasy for a weekend and the other one I didn't feel sick at all. I could have slept for 24 hours a day for the first 12 weeks of both pregnancies though.

DiscoDaisy · 04/07/2012 17:43

I've had 5 DC and never had sickness or nausea.

BadgerFace · 04/07/2012 17:44

I am 11 weeks and only felt a bit off a few times so far, no actual nausea or vomming so it can effect everyone very differently.

It's hard not to worry when there aren't many symptoms, mine have mainly been tiredness and hunger (which is a pretty normal state of being for me anyway) so I totally empathise with worrying from lack of symptoms. But I've just got back from the hospital and heard my baby's heartbeat for the first time so lack of symptoms can be entirely normal. Smile

I am now hoping that long may few symptoms continue!

Good luck!!

Aww bless you lovely, I can understand your concern. Am posting a converse opinion to the others - I had terrible nausea throughout my (short) recent pregnancy, and was sick as a dog the day I miscarried.
Apologies if that's seen as an inappropriate post, it was meant to be reassuring!
wish you well op x

Only had one pregnancy but was only nauseous for a couple of weeks. Then it stopped and I was terrified! Didn't have any symptoms at all.

He is now nearly 11 and almost as tall as me. And has just persuaded me to order Dominos for tea!

Some people never feel sick. Some get horrendous sickness. You will more than likely be fine. Sore boobs and tiredness are very normal for this stage.

flipflop i felt nauseous but never really sick.... i was sick once but i think its cos i took vitamins on an empty stomach...

Hooleywhipper · 04/07/2012 18:52

Lucky you flipflop !

nosleepwithworry · 04/07/2012 18:54

Ahh its ok, really.

Im feeling nauseous some days then not others. It does vary day by day i think.

With my son i was sick as a dog from 5 weeks till 16 weeks, but this time round, only mild.

Think tis normal tbh xxx

Pinkflipflop · 04/07/2012 18:55

Well thanks for all these reassuring posts, I think I just need to relax.

Thanks everyone, will keep you posted.

Well hopefully I am just able to combat nausea with food.

I am eating loads, today I ate;
Breakfast - special K, strawberries, boiled egg, toast, yogurt drink, cranberry juice, nigella breakfast bar

Lunch - banana, paninni

Dinner - mince, mushrooms, carrots, potatoes

Snack - fifteen, couple of mints

I'm not done yet. Can someone please tell me if this amount of food is excessive? I'm especially Shock at my breakfast consumption.

25% of women have no nausea at all in pregnancy.

i had nausea only, no vomming, and was only nauseous from weeks 10-14. i had not so much as a touch of nausea at your gestation!

am now nearly 29 weeks.
