oh dear I've still got a lot to do! And now at 36 weeks I've not got the energy haha it's his taken me about an hour to drag the Moses basket out and get it all washed great ! I need to tidy up and get rid of a lot too so we actually have room to put the Moses basket somewhere ! Really should have done this in 2nd trimester now woooopsie

I hear you. 35 weeks and counting. Everything still in bits in the loft or out on loan - going to pick up my swaddles, breast feeding cushion and play mat tomorrow. Told DS he needs to put the pram together this weekend.

Last night I thought I was in labour and hadnt even thought about packing my hospital bag (I remember i took far too much last time, but cant remember which bits I needed and which I didnt other than I definitely didnt need 2 boxes of breast pads Grin

RichManPoorManBeggarmanThief · 04/07/2012 12:02

Sorry, told DH to put the pram together. DS is only two!

Benaberry · 04/07/2012 15:40

I can sympathise - 36+2, and nothing done, at all...

Still waiting for chest of drawers to arrive so can reclaim changing unit from DS1's bedroom...don't want to start heap of washing from attic until have somewhere to put all clothes once clean. First hurdle will be getting DH to locate right box of clothes in the chaos that is our attic...

Cot still in pieces in attic and in need of new mattress - just really hope DH knows where all the screws etc are for it! Nursery also currently still in use as DS's "lego room", so needs clearing out for cot to fit in...

Pram likewise in attic, have no recollection of how it goes together, but hoping it will come flooding back once it's downstairs again...

Hospital bag is still sitting in packaging in DS1's room (having bought a sensibly sized one for this time - last time only had an enormous holdall!), suppose I really should start popping some bits in it...

Have an ELCS booked for 30th at 40+0 if nothing happens before then, so I know for a fact I've got less than 4 weeks to go. I'm still in denial really that this is all going to happen very soon aren't I?

Cheekychops84 · 04/07/2012 21:05

Yeah, that's kind of how I think. I live overseas so am going to the private hospital where they give you everything (gowns, toiletries, pads, disposable pants, even vests, nappies, wipes and swaddles for the baby). I'll be in 3 days but Dh can just bring stuff the next day if I need it.

Dh reminded me last night that other useless stuff I took last time included

  • A Glee Box set (when tf did I think I was going to watch that??? I was 7 cm dilated when I arrived- not really in the mood for musical theatre)
  • Some homeopathic arnica pills (um, no, my nether regions needed some proper attention from some evidence-based pharamceutical anti-inflammatories, not a jar of hippy magic)
  • A sack of snacks- in the end I had "labour sickness" and was struggling to keep water down until they gave me the anti-nausea shot, so they all went home uneaten
Cheekychops84 · 05/07/2012 07:45

Ha ha yea no I don't take snacks or anything. I jus look forward to the toast and tea they bring when it's all over . Ahhh never thought toast would feel like bliss but it always does after all that cafuffle of labour. : D
