AF late and looks like real blood? o_o

I thought I was pregnant, AF was late by like 5 days, all my tests were negative apart from one clearblue a few days early which I assumed was a false positive. Even testing after AFs due date resulted in negatives, even though I had lots and lots of symptoms...

I started bleeding a few days ago, I didn't think it was my period at first because it looked browner than usual and was lighter... Now I've started bleeding more, but it's ... different. I have pain "downstairs" and the blood doesn't even look like period blood, it looks more red, like real blood. No idea what this means or what is going on . My boobs were growing too, which I assumed was because I was pregnant, which I'm clearly not, but they're still growing!

Anyone know what could be up?

Oh what a worrying time for you . It sounds as though you may have had a 'chemical pregnancy', where the egg implanted but didn't form properly. You'd produce HCG, hence the positive test, then even when that stopped, progesterone would still be around to cause those symptoms. I hope it's not! Could be worth a visit to the GP? Keep us updated, sending you ((hugs)).

IT does seem like something isn't quite right. Spell could be right, and its a chemical pregnancy. No idea what else it could be really, but if you're worried, get in touch wit hthe GP or hospital and find out where the nearest early pg unit is, they would do a scan for you and make sure there is nothing sinister going on
