30 weeks tomorrow was already having BH which have been painful, uncomfortable since about 24wks or so.

Since Saturday have had quite a few, yesterday had 4 and today I've had 5, 4 of which have been since about 2.30.

Dc3 tried to arrive 6wks early, spent a whole weekend in hospital having contractions but it came to nothing.
Do you think I should contact someone or wait as I'm seeing midwife tomorrow.

This will be Dc4.

I had a lot of painful BH for the last few months of my pg. Do you have any other signs - a show, nausea, anything like that? Have you timed them to see if there is any regularity?

If you can say yes to any of them I'd be tempted to give the mw/labour ward a call just to see what they say. Its never a bad thing to check if you are worried.
