As the title says, really.

Am very early in my pregnancy - nearly 5 weeks - and apart from being completely exhausted and hungry all the damn time; I've not had any nausea or queasiness. Am I off the hook; or just too early?

Mine started at 5 weeks.

You still have time yet Grin

twizzlestix · 02/07/2012 21:31

Didn't get any until 6+3, then lasted til 8+4, being sick reguarly and petered out slowly. Gone completely by week 11.

FloweryBoots · 02/07/2012 21:39

6 1/2 weeks with DS. Peaked 8/9 weeks to about 14 and pettered out by about 16 weeks. Almost 5 weeks now with DC2 and no symptoms appart from tieredness either. It was the wind I found worse than morning sickness though! We have lots of fun to look forward to!

Lol I had a feeling I was getting off too lightly!! My whole torso feels as of every single muscle has been pulled over the last few days so I guess I'm still in for more. This is my first and i can't wait til that magic 12 week mark!!!

Hi monkey I'm the same 5 weeks pregnant with my first. Exciting isn't it ?! I haven't been sick yet but off food - very unlike me ! Want to ride this out together ?

Kirsty240287 · 02/07/2012 22:45

6wks for me with this one, think roughly 8wks with DD tho

Heartbeep · 03/07/2012 05:52

This pregnancy 3+5 it lasted until 21 weeks.

Last pregnancy started at 6 weeks until 18 weeks.

missingmymarbles · 03/07/2012 07:13

DC1 4+2 (I can remember coz I could finish my pint at the pub quizGrin) but just felt below par from 3+4 ish. Lasted til about 18 weeks.
DC2 5 weeks but again felt below par earlier, improved around 24 weeks but didn't go completely, and returned about 35 weeks (currently 38 and can't wait to deliverGrin)
You still have time; I think the average is about 6 weeks or so for it to start, but I hope it doesn't get youSmile

EmilieFloge · 03/07/2012 07:17

This time about 3 and a half weeks. It started properly at about 5 weeks though, still happening at 12 weeks now...I can't wait for it to stop, it gets hard to bear after a while.

last time it began at 5 and a half weeks and got a bit more bearable around 13/14, then went away at 18ish.

First time is too long ago to remember.

I really hope this time it doesn't last that long...or God forbid any longer!

Good luck Monkey, You might be fine Smile

dontcarehow · 03/07/2012 08:31

I'm coming up to 6 weeks and its just started. Haven't been sick yet but the last 2 days I've just felt sick all the time. horrible. but worth it!

EddieIzzardIsMine · 03/07/2012 08:43

Found out at 5/6 weeks and had 3 lovely nausea free weeks then at 8/9 weeks it kicked in with a vengence (up to 10 times a day) and didnt stop until DS was born...fingers crossed you are lucky!

BlingBubbles · 03/07/2012 08:47

Mine started at 2 weeks, the vomiting didn't end until DD was born but the nausea lasted till about 30 weeks but then again I did have hyperemisis so mine was very extreme.

Good luck OP

BBisHavingAnotherBBaby · 03/07/2012 08:48

With DS i ha acid heartburn from about 9 weeks on and off probably 6 times max, with this one (currently 13+4) I've had very pronounced MS since 5 weeks, mixture of both feeling and being sick, almost like seasickness! It shows no signs of shifting at the moment

cakeandcava · 03/07/2012 09:42

Started just after 5 weeks, and before that I was feeling tired and hungry all the time -you have time yet! Grin
Stopped around 13 weeks. I'm 24 weeks now and feeling ok, but the tiredness has never really gone away.

Popinda · 03/07/2012 10:01

nursery monkey I'm also 5weeks with my first! Very exciting time isn't it?! I have no symptoms either! Just tired a bit, no sore boobs, no sickness. I read we should consider our selfs lucky! Grin but apparently many time the sickness doesn't kick in till week 6 or 7! Something to look forward to! Grin

Hyperballad · 03/07/2012 10:09

MonkeyButt, everyone is different, I didn't feel ok until I was in my third trimester! The first two were awful, sickness from morning till night, headaches, migraines, couldn't leave the house for days at a time, I had to stop working, it was just horrid!

The last part of my pregnancy though has been great, only a little bit of tiredness here and there but no heartburn, no swelling, and still plenty of energy.

I'm due this Saturday :)

Good luck with your pregnancy and just take each day as it comes.

knickyknocks · 03/07/2012 10:30

With DD had terrible dizziness and nausea from 6 weeks, that lasted till 8 weeks, was then replaced by vomiting 3 to 4 times a day till 14 weeks.

Have had 3 chemical pregnancies and I knew before I peed on a stick that I was pregnant by the waves of nausea at around 3 and a half weeks.

Haven't peed on a stick yet (am going to buy some tests at lunchtime), but think I may be pregnant again as ridiculously hungry, sore boobs and having waves of nausea starting again.....and it would only be 3 weeks 4 days!!!

LoopyLa · 03/07/2012 13:59

I'm not being smug (I promise!!) but I'm 23+2 wks and not had any actual sickness as such. I had general nausea from around 8 wks and a few days were worse than others but that was it. My main first trimester symptom was bloaty bloaty bloatedness! Blush

FreeButtonBee · 03/07/2012 14:11

started around 6.5 weeks - that and the heartburn. Now 8 weeks

I am finding that those seabands help take the edge off the nausea - I even sleep in one! It means I can get some breakfast down me before facing the tube each morning Envy

oceanstwo · 03/07/2012 18:29

DD - from 5dpo. Huge wave of nausea before lunch. Then lasted until about week 14. Was never actually sick but wished I could have been: felt horrific.

This pregnancy (currently 5+6) - started at about 3dpo (I kid you not). Still going on and getting progressively worse day by day. First few weeks I felt normal most of the time with some waves, now I feel consistently rubbish with some waves (if that makes sense).

Agree that most people get it from about 6weeks.

I find it reassuring in a way: shows me something's happening!!

CalamityJ · 04/07/2012 22:36

Started at 6 weeks for me. I thought I'd got away with it too but now I feel horrendous all the time. Roll on 12 weeks/14 weeks/16 weeks!

PuffPants · 04/07/2012 22:47

OP loads of women don't get sickness. You might be one of those.
