Feeling like a technophobe

Ok, so its been 8 yrs since I last had a DC but today we decided to go shopping for baby monitors. Why do I feel like I need a computing degree to understand them. WWUD in the temerature display v the Video debate????

Had a video one with DS & founds myself obsessively staring at it to make sure he was breathing. It was driving me crazy after 6 weeks so got a new one. We went for one with a breathing monitor on it thatsounds an alarm if no movement is detected for a certain amount of time. It's been used with DS, DD & will be used with this one too.

Went for an old fashioned sound only one and that was fine for us
