I really want some long black leggings, long coloured leggings, cropped black leggings and black maternity tights.

Last pregnancy I tried to get these things and ended up buying several rubbish pairs which were too see through, badly made, fell down etc etc. please help me find some decent ones this time!

TIA Smile

I bought my long back leggings from George at Asda and they lasted very well. I can't help you on the rest though, I was at a loss!

ItsMyLastOne · 01/07/2012 14:20

We haven't got an Asda nearby.

I was looking at asos, has anyone bought maternity stuff from there? I've had non-mat stuff with varying degree of success but I like their free delivery and returns.

Just coming on to say ASOS. I found it great. Blooming marvellous also good.

ItsMyLastOne · 01/07/2012 14:28

Where stocks blooming marvellous stuff?

George online (ASDA) sells the maternity stuff. I had plenty from them and was really pleased with the quality as well.

Chunkychicken · 01/07/2012 15:46

I thought blooming marvellous were a thing of the past - bought out by Mothercare about 2yrs ago. Was quite disappointed by that, as I thought their stuff was great & mothercare is, generally, a bit pants. I had maternity leggings from Dorothy Perkins first time around, not looked this time. Think Verbaudet had a range of leggings online.

have you tried New Look they do a cheap maternity range, thats where i go for my clothes at the moment

mrswee · 01/07/2012 17:07

Gap have a sale on. they don't do leggings but they do coloured legging jeans.

Londonmrss · 01/07/2012 17:15

Definitely the best stuff I've found is New Look,

mrsalwaysawake · 01/07/2012 18:25

H&M leggings and tights are good, imo.

Rachog · 01/07/2012 18:28

I have some asos black mat leggings, I wear them at least once a week and they are starting to go a bit sagging now. Peacocks stuff tends to be ok.

mylittlemonkey · 01/07/2012 21:30

I alo recommend ASOS and got my mat leggings and lots of other clothes from there which lasted me pg and beyond. Topshop are good for mat basics such as leggings, jeggings, jeans and tops but but more costly than ASOS. In my Last pg about 3 years ago there was a brand they sold on ASOS called Mamalicious and they had some really nice things. For tights try jojo maman Bebe online as well as for other bits.

Thanks everyone, I think I need to go shopping this week and have a proper look around. I keep getting really fed up trying to find decent stuff, and every time I find mat leggings I do the test with my hand underneath the fabric and stretching it to see if it's show my whole bum and it always does! Grrr!

If I find nothing suitable I'll try asos or jojo, thanks! Smile

Many places only do their maternity online now.
The Boden sale should be starting this week, and their maternity stuff has been quite good. The leggings in particular have been fab. I'm 5'8''.
long Tall Sally does maternity leggings, but their stuff is very long in the leg.
I know these jeggings look vile in the photo. But I have worn these so much. Very comfy, keep their shape. I'm wondering about getting the red ones, even though only have 5 weeks to go....Grin

ItsMyLastOne · 01/07/2012 22:36

I'm 5'2" so long tall Sally isn't going to work but thanks for the other links and boden tip! Smile

I'd also recommend H&M for black leggings, I have both full length & cropped from there & have been really happy with then. A friend actually commented on the nice material & the fact they're not see through! I'm also small, just under 5'3". The leggings were about £7.99 each I think, so excellent value.

SuriAjuni I got black leggings from them just before Christmas, they were good quality. They do good coats too, I still use mine over my baby in the sling if it is cold.

HM

New Look Also have two pairs from here, these are a thinner weave than SuriAjuni so great for summer (still wearing mine as they provide coverage of belly when breastfeeding and they are so comfortable).

M&S for tights, always good quality.
