Over the last couple of days, when I go to the loo I have noticed my knickers are pretty damp/wet.

There's no sign of any egg-white CM - which i used to get before pregnancy. It's definitely more watery than that, as it's just making my underwear damp in the gusset area. Nice.

Is this a new kind of discharge that you get in pregnancy? Or could a bit of wee be leaking out?? (it doesn't smell wee-y so I don't think so).

Or, more worryingly, could I be leaking a little bit of amniotic fluid?? It's not loads of liquid by any stretch but am just a bit worried. Anyone else had this?

Could it be wee? I have turned into a one woman wee-machine and even though I have no indication that I am weeing myself, by the end of the day and am pretty damp.

I have also had liquidy discharge. Glamorous, no?

Any doubt give your midwife or GP a call to check. My understanding is that amniotic fluid smells sweet.

Sorry - you already said it wasn't wee. Mind you, if it is very dilute wee it might not smell so wee-y

It's probably normal, run of the mill, vaginal discharge. I have posted on threads like this in the past, admitting to being a bit 'damp' down there all my life, but during pregnancy, it practically flows Blush I will get gushes of it every so often that panic me, thinking its blood or whatever, but its usually just a cream-white coloured discharge. Can be creamy in texture or quite watery but its always there. Had in during my first pg too. Would have worried, but it was mentioned in my pregnancy book...

I get this too, every now and then. Can feel it coming out, much more watery than normal but my sis in law also gets it (she's 7 weeks ahead of my pregnancy) so have assumed normal/OK.

Yeah, I get this. I also noticed this morning that I had leaked some urine and that is smelled like tom cat's wee Blush.

It is highly unlikely that it is amniotic fluid - you would have other symptoms.

Please call midwife/hospital just to be sure. Don't want to panic you but it can be sign of waters slowly leaking (happened to me). Always better to be safe than sorry.

If it is waters going, you would need to be monitored closely.

If it's come on suddenly, definitely get it checked out. Personally I've found I've been getting more discharge as my pregnancy progresses. I started wearing pantyliners at around 20 weeks, much more comfortable now.

Without sounding crude (Which is hard with this topic!) it has been rather warm, it might just be sweat, that doesn't tend to smell.

GTbaby · 01/07/2012 23:07

lots of ladies on my due date thread have the same problem :s as have i, had it since maybe week 15? have good days and bad days

TheDetective · 01/07/2012 23:11

Mine has just been sweat. The joys of pregnancy...

I've been wearing white knickers, and they are damp every day - sometimes just discharge, but on the warmer days, they are damp with sweat. Urghhhh!
