Constant stitch like pain lower right abdomen?

I'm 25 weeks with my third. Not a very wriggly baby at the moment, was more wriggly up until a week or two ago. Today I have a constant pain, like a stitch, in my lower right hand abdomen. Been drinking lots of water both out of thirst and out of worry that I could be dehydrated.

Anyone had experience of this? Many thanks :)

I've suffered with aches and pains around my abdomen and hips with both dc1 and 2 and already with this one, I would give the midwife a ring tbh just to calm my worrys, and rest xx

Thanks for the reply state :)

It kept going all day yesterday but it's gone today. I rested quite a lot. I've had my kick counter bracelet for a few days so waiting to see if there is a pattern. Still worried about baby being less wriggly so a call to the midwife coming up, I think.

I had exactly this! It stopped me walking in the end, was a total pain. from around 20-30 weeks I think. It even has a name: round ligament pain. Normally experienced on the right hand side. Very common apparently so worry not!

I posted about this recently and most women who replied who had experienced it were quite active or fast walkers and we think this makes it worse.

Mine was followed by a couple of contractions which scared me enough to call the midwife. She said because the baby was really active not to worry too much, but if it got worse to call the labour ward. She also said dehydration or UTI could be a cause...

Fine now though!

Oh, thanks for suchbreassuring replies, Love and Naisy :)

I had disregarded RLP as it just felt different but could well be.

I'd like to say that I am a fast, active person but I would be lying but despite being very much that way in the run up to pregnancy, I haven't been in the last four months Grin Dehydration is interesting though. I felt like I couldn't get enough water in to me yesterday and drank tons.

Yes me too at around 28/30 weeks I'm now 36 and it's gone. Was mostly when I was walking also 3rd dc and on the right side ? It also stopped me walking for a while as it was really uncomfortable but I no longer have it . Now I jus have baby pushing down real hard on my bladder it actually hurts!

Thanks for the reassurance, cheekychops. It really makes a huge difference to know other people have had the same and it hasn't ended badly :)
