Just read notes and seen that I'm measuring 37 weeks at nearly 40??!

MW didn't say anything at the time but I am 39+5 and I am measuring 37 weeks today and am 3/5 engaged. Looking back in notes I was measuring 38 at 38 weeks. So seems a bit odd?

Anyone else had similar, is it just because of engagement or just someone measuring differently. I guess not a huge deal if she didn't mention it, just bit odd.

I am 38+2 and measured 31cm at 36 weeks, I was measuring 33 at 34 weeks, my midwife said I'd shrunk as the baby was engaged, she didn't seem too concerned but did re-measure at 37 weeks and as I hadn't grown and was still 31 cm she referred me for a growth scan. Growth scan measured baby as being just below 50th centile so no problems with growth (or fluid levels), the sonographer said that baby was in a perfect position for birth so that could be why I'm measuring small. This week I measured 34-5 cm so still small and baby still engaged. So, in summary (if you've managed to get through this boring story so far!) it could well be that you're like me and baby is well engaged/in a good position and your midwife isn't worried, although it would've been nice if she'd explained that to you!

Yes, your bump is lower down because the head is now in the pelvis. Nothing to worry about.
