Antenatal depression? Is it worth seeking help?

I can't make out of it's antenatal depression or jus silly hormones? But I've not been arsed to do anything all week seriously even to hang the washing up is the hugest effort and to do the dishes. I would rather jus lay in bed all day . I don't want to eat have had toast this morning and altho I'm starving I jus don't want anything I've been like this on and off for a few weeks. I don't even want to take the kids to the park I jus want to sit around like a zombie! But i don't know if it's worth going to the GP for I do suffer with depression anyway but this is the worst I've felt in a while.

Is there any treatment availiable if anyone knows or does it right itself after birth?

Go see the GP, and mention it to your midwife. it's not worth letting it possibly cast a shadow over your pregnancy.

I'd suffered with depression prior to becoming pregnant, but was still referred to the specialist midwife because of it. I never needed her, but she was there if I did. Smile

Yes midwife knows about my depression but never mentioned it? I will mention it at my 36 week check next week . I just wish I could get some oomph to do something I've been in all day and done nothing now I'm getting very frustrated at myself!

I was depressed in my pregnancy, I only know that now after going through PND so get this nipped in the bud now.

How do you feel in your head, any dark thoughts? Extra anxiety??
