i have a 15month old boy.....he was a very unexpected little surprise...i didnt find out i was pregnant until 21 weeks. Was on pill did tests n came up negative... Anyway i think i might be pregnant again....too early to tell but the headaches and nausea have started.
just want to know how your second pregnancys were in relation to your first? I had bad hips and spd so was on crutches from 61/2 months until a month after the birth. My son was 2 weeks late and i tore quite badly....i didnt have any pain relief in labour so its not the discomfort im worried about but was
just wondering if there was a general concensus on wether things improved for you the second time round?
dont feel that all stories have to be good. Lol. Just needed a bit of a chat about it all!! Xx

Hello

well I am 18 weeks into my second pregnancy. I had a bit of a scare last week as I'd been over doing it. Other than that, this pregnancy has so far been much preferable to the last!
I started SPD at around 12 weeks last time.. I've had a couple of twinges so far but not developing as yet. May be differnt for others but this is a bit of relief to me.
I am also a lot more relaxed and a lot less stressed and worried about everything that the last time and that really is the main difference for me. Even with the scare last week I'm pretty relaxed.

I'm only 18 weeks in though.. things could change!

good luck!

I'm 16 weeks with dc2. DD1 is 13 months. I had a third degree tear, but have been told by my consultant that although I have a double risk of tearing this time, that it's still only about 6-10% chance, which I reckon is pretty good odds.

I had PGP from about 30 weeks and have had it from the beginning this time but I recognised it and have already seen a physio so am getting it controlled.

I'm tired, like I was with my last pregnancy, but less apprehensive about the birth and looking forward to my new born cuddles :-)

2nd pg was much worse, more nausea and vomiting, more discomfort, more insomnia, heartburn, etc etc. labour was induced and much better than last time. birth was worse due to baby back to back and got stuck, so had rotational forceps. HOWEVER, recovery has been way better, despite large episiotomy, I am 2.5 weeks after the birth now and feel almost back to normal - with DS 2.9 years ago, it took months to heal and recover, had forceps/2nd degree tear/episiotomy with him. with DD just episiotomy and it's still a bit sore but nowhere near the level of pain after DS. and DD is a wee darling so far which helps.

good luck :)
