Think I pulled a back muscle - can it affect the baby

I was just lifting my DS into the bath and I think I pulled something in my back. I've a backache for a few days now and put it down to being early pg (6wks) and the start of a mc (doom and gloom I know, but the previous 2 were mc)
Would it affect the embryo or is it too embedded to be affected? Should I call EPAU or am I over-reacting?

i wouldnt have thought it can affect the baby. try putting a warm hot water bottle on the area and see if it helps...not near tummy though.
