Leukocytes in urine?

Anyone know anything about this?

I'm 20 weeks and had a consultant appointment today which I thought all went fine.

However, when I got home I noticed that in the urine test section of my notes for today it says 'Leu++'. From what I've just read through Google I gather this means I have leukocytes/white blood cells in my urine which can be a sign of infection which should be treated in order to avoid it leading to complications. No one mentioned this to me at all though while I was there.

Clearly I'm now worrying about this and was just wondering if anyone can tell me any more about this/put my mind at rest before I phone my midwife in the morning?

Thanks.

I had a small amounts of leukocytes in.my urine in both pg. When I questioned it, the me, consultant and GP all told me that a small amount was normal - I think I was ++ aswell. I did have a UTI on mu first pg, and had ABs for that; still had traces of leukocytes afterwards.

Since they've noted it but not raised it with you, I would not worry too much.

Never Google medical stuff!

Hey my midwife told me last week if you have no uti symtoms it can just mean you have a lot of discharge. Hope this helps.

Thank you, it does help. I have no symptoms so I hope that's what it is.

That's the reason my mw gave me for leukocytes too.
