13+ weeks, what supplements etc should i be taking?!

ive stopped taking my folic acid as (as far as im aware) thats only for the first 12 weeks?
what do i need to be taking now?!
advice please!

could be worth taking a general pregnancy multi-vitamin and/or omega oils. Doesn't have to be one of the expensive brands, most of the supermarkets do a comparable version for half the money.

Vitamin D and liquid iron, that's what I'm on. Check the NHS website on supplements in pregnancy. Choose what's right for you.

Vitamin D 10mcg is the only one I think the NHS recommends

If you show any signs of anaemia, or if your diet is low in iron (eg vegetarian) you may need iron too.

Omega-3 is a good idea too, the NHS doesn't say you need it but lots of other places recommend it for good foetal growth.

Calcium and magnesium are a good idea if your diet is low in calcium (eg if you don't eat much dairy)

You can get the sure start pregnancy vitamins from the health centre that the health visitors work from. They are less than a pound and last you a good few weeks.

No need for research, there are loads of pregnancy supplements that have all this in (though omega 3 is often a separate capsule) Smile
