Hi all.

Am 10+5 today and really struggling to eat a meal.

I am finding i can only manage a small amount but when am hungry again in an hour or so.

I wasn't like this with dd, good thing is all i want to eat is fruit and lettuce hopefully won't be gaining 4 stone this time round.

Anyone else struggling eating?

Yes I definitely had this from 8-12 ish weeks, I just grazed as I could never finish a big meal. Even now I couldn't manage 3 courses without feeling like I was going to burst. (Am 24+3)

I'm 17 weeks and am really indifferent about food. Really bad morning sickness has only just stopped and I thought my love of food would come back but no. Can only manage small meals and snacks and have to force a lot of them down! Although I think I'm consuming my body weight in fruit juice as am absolutely addicted to it at the moment which is good as at least some good stuff is going in!

unfortunately i don't have this problem (as testified by my ever expanding arse...)

I had this with all three of my pregnancies and if its any help I did not put on any extra weight at all with any of them. With my first I actually lost weight by having a baby (I weighed the same before I got pregnant and the day before I gave birth).

i definatly started this hardly eating business too. It began about wk 6 or so, 12 now. I was both distraught an shocked cos id realllllly want to eat it but couldnt. I think its petering out a bit now or perhaps im just used to not eating a whole pizza in one go any more... praps it could be from our insides getting squished about and our stomachs dont have as much room? who knows...

Yep - started with me at about 18 weeks and still the same at 27 weeks- very disappointing when you get a takeaway in!

Hi, I'm 38 weeks and have been disappointed with how little I've been able to eat during pregnancy - I was looking forward to stuffing myself!!!

Right from the start my digestive system seemed to slow down to half speed, along with the indigestion, wind and heart burn - I feel lucky when I have room for the occasional pudding!

I'm 20 weeks and eat very little at a time. I was hungry mid-morning and had a few spoons of leftovers. Met a client for lunch and couldn't eat anything (just had a smoothie). All my friends were really hungry and put on lots of weight when they were pregnant whereas I've hardly gained anything (despite big bump).

Makes no sense to me.

Glad a few of you are the same as me.

Its all very strange. i remember with dd i would eat so much food i couldn't move. this time nothing is more satisfying than a big bowl of fruit i think thirst has to do with it aswell as i am super thirsty.

I used to drink juice all the time. now its bottled water only.

I am so looking forward to hitting my 12 week mark, although saying that its been a breeze so far. no sickness lots of constipation and no sleep but atleast no sickness.
