Right, sorry if I waffle on. Okay, I'm on the pill and remember to take it religiously (usually) however on a couple of occasions this month was late taking it. I noticed discharge was very 'jelly' like for a few days, and not noticed this before. I'm now on my pill free week and started my period today, normally start yesterday. May be too much info but by now it's normally quite heavy and it's not, it's a brown colour and not much red at all. I've been getting cramps also, and before I was due on. Could I be pregnant? Or this is my period?
Thanks x

Hard one to say for sure, only way would be a test - if faintly positive you are pregnant but if negative there's still chance you could be but the hormones haven't risen enough to register on the test, so test a couple of days later. I would definately discuss with a doc or practice nurse if no change to your period, the answer is negative or if you still have questions. Some women get cramps when the embryo implants. Periods can be messed up by other things too though. Hope you get the answers you want xx

(And some women spot around their period but are pregnant.)
