Im 17+6 and have an upset tummy. Ate something spicy a couple of days ago and think it's kind of gone through me. It's not really bad - just a bit loose (sorry for tmi) and have tummy ache.

Should I be worried about the baby/pregnancy? Have only been feeling baby move for 6 days and it's still pretty few and far between so can't tell if anything's changed that way. I'm worrying over nothing, right? xx

I wouldn't worry at all, unless it becomes severe and you think you're getting dehydrated :)

I had a REALLY upset tummy at about 17 weeks (following a very spicy Thai meal which obviously didn't agree with me at all). I had an obstetrician appointment at the time and asked him about it - he said not to worry at all.

Thank-you both. Thought I might be worrying about nothing but can't help it! This is dc2 and I'm definitely worrying about things more this time round! xx

I had serious food poisoning at 16 weeks, couldn't eat for 3 days. As long as you are taking fluids the baby will be fine, they take from your stores, you have to be seriously malnourished for it to affect them.

Just make sure you drink ts of water so you don't get dehydrated. I had Norivirus at 20 weeks - baby was fine (I have never experienced anythng quite like it before though - good job the bath is next the loo as needed both at one point!)
