I'm 14+2 and have just had 2 infections in quick succession. I went to Doc who advised Canesten is OK but I just want to hear from others that it is OK to use again and again in pregnancy. MW said that ONLY Caneston is safe in pregnancy not Boots/Lloyds own etc etc.

I've been given 3 pessaries to use 3 nights in a row to get rid of persistent infection and some cream for me and DP to use.

Also the cream tube says for athletes foot! Is this the same stuff or have they given me the wrong prescription?

May be being paranoid Confused

It's fine - it must be a 1% clotrimazole cream you have been given if it is also indicated for Athletes Foot. The 2% cream is specifically indicated for Thrush, but 1% is absolutely fine.

Pregnancy is a big trigger of Thrush but I would advise you always let your GP know if you have persistent bouts. Try asking for the Internal Cream - it is nicer to use imo, less messy and really cooling especially if put in the fridge before use!!

Hope it clears soon.
