Hi all
So I am about 9 weeks pregnant never been pregnant before it feels really weird and unbelievable! Was really broody so very pleased but also feel a bit mental. Cannot believe how tired I am feel like falling asleep constantly and no idea how I'm going to cope with work for the next 7-8 months. Also don't feel like eating at all and have actually lost weight, trying to force myself have small meals etc but still stressful. Me and boyf have 3 week holiday booked at end Aug and really hoping I feel better by then or hol will be ruined. Also 12 hour flight each way :-(
Worst thing is the secrecy everyone says not to tell lots of people before 12 week scan in case of mc etc. but I really want to share all my thoughts and feelings and it's really hard to keep it secret. Have told my boyf and mum but haven't even told my best friend as she does love to gossip. I feel I am avoiding phoning people or going out as would feel weird to sit there and say nothing about my big news. Also because feeling so ill don't want to plan stuff but struggling for excuses.
Boyf happy about baby but already fed up with me lounging on the sofa like a drama queen and says the sickness and tiredness is all in my head!
Any thoughts, advice etc welcome!
Xx

Congratulations!

I was basically dormant for first and third trimesters each PG - DH would wake me up at 8pm wherever I had nodded off so I could go to bed properly!

I did get more energetic in the middle, though, so your holiday might be OK Think of the flight as an opportunity to sleep, but ask for advice on exercises to avoid DVT and see if they recommend those (hideous) support sock things.

Good call thanks guys. I actually have a few things to sort for the hol like phone insurers book hotel - need to rouse myself and achieve some things! Dp is not really up for doing more than his normal share of the housework... Problem is I usually do more as he works long hours so now it's just not getting done... Grumpy!

Congrats mjp! That's exactly how I feel! Funny as I cracked the other day and told two pals, they were both so excited for me that I forgot about being so ill and started to feel really happy! Can't wait til 12 weeks and really starting to look forward to baby!!
Blokey has started to be really over solicitous the past few days! It's great! Think he must have been reading mums net :) xxxx

Tiredness is a killer. This is my third pg and although I had other symptoms during the other pgs, this time the tiredness was something else. I used to go to the gym 5 times a week and in the first 11 weeks I managed once. I slept in the cinema, church, and did not trust myself so stopped driving for few weeks...
Glad to say I am feeling more awake now...
Disregard what is said to you as much as their opinions on shoes, make up etc...
