Sorry, I know you've all heard this one before, but I've got a Boots stick in front of me with one dark line that appeared straight away (control) and one really faint one. It's about ten minutes since I stick it in my special little pot, I think. I need you all to come and talk to me now!

Congratulations!!!

A second line faint or dark is a positive. You might just be very early on wait a few days and do another but sounds like your pregnant. Congratulations xxx

Bossybritches22 · 18/06/2012 10:21

Yep, not enough hormones being thrown out yet to really darken the line but obviously some! Try again Weds Grin

Congratulations!

gardenpixies32 · 18/06/2012 12:19

Congratulations!

My line was so faint that DP didn't believe it. I am now 20 weeks pregnant with twins. He is still struggling to believe it is twins!

SwissArmyWife · 18/06/2012 12:21

Yep, I had a faint line, did another test a week or so later and it was as bold as could be! Now nearly 20 weeks :)

Congratulations!

StaceymReadyForNumber3 · 18/06/2012 12:34

i had a faint faint line the day before and the day my af was due, the week after i had a definate dark linr, i'm now 14 weeks

congratulations :)

MrClaypole · 18/06/2012 12:39

You are pregnant - congratulations!

A line is a line, it will get darker as the hormones kick in.

Excited!

zanywany · 18/06/2012 12:41

I had 4 faint lines, a week later clear blue says I am pregnant

Splinters · 18/06/2012 13:00

Thanks! I keep having to go back and look at it. It's definitely a pale pink line -- had four bfns on what turned out to be a monster 6-week cycle last month and there definitely wasn't anything that could even remotely have been construed as a line.

I'm pregnant.. doesn't feel real.

Trying to get on with some pretty urgent work now, and obviously failing miserably!

splinters i have 2 older dc's, we'd been trying for 14 months, were being referred for infertility tests when i got my BFP

I walked around all day muttering under my breath 'I'm going to have a ...... baby?!' in a very surprised tone, not sure how i was quite so shocked :D

DoingItForMyself · 18/06/2012 14:04

I think this is a case of "there's no such thing as a little bit pregnant!"

Congratulations! x

Beans1977 · 18/06/2012 16:53

Congrats!

I had a very, very faint line as well - was almost not sure it was a line at all - am now 26+4!

Enjoy! x

Ta everyone! Not so very much enjoying the cramps and backache, but grateful to be feeling ok apart from that. Waiting for dh to get home so I can tell him what's gone on in his life today..

This is what has just happened to me. I have just done a test and it is so faint it is almost invisible. But there is definitely something there. I am really hoping that it is positive!

justlemonade · 18/06/2012 21:16

I had a faint line this time round. I did a million tests which all looked the same and then started showing them to DH and my Mum who were both sceptical as to whether I was pg. It turns out I'm now 38 weeks!
My only advice would be to wait a few days and then buy a digital test - somehow there is no questioning the word 'PREGNANT' in the window rather than the line. It'll set your mind at rest.

Oh, congratulations btw!

Splinters · 18/06/2012 22:10

dh and I are agreed that it is definitely a pale pink line. Turns out he was thinking about it on the way home (hadn't told him I was going to do a test or anything) and wondering if that was why I was getting so knackered. Plus also whoever it is in there is making me very achey! I think I'm pregnant.

Mine were ridiculously faint for a while and annoyingly the more expensive tests are much more sensitive - if it's the cheap boots one it takes quite a few days if not a week to get darker (i discovered, doing a bit of a comparison with a left over test a week later) the cheap Asda ones were actually a bit better. But you are definately pregnant its just so hard to believe, try to resist the pink line chasing, stick to the cheap ones and they will be darker by the weekend - Congratulations!

Clarella · 19/06/2012 13:43

Boobs hurting? (possibly under your arms initially)

Splinters · 19/06/2012 13:49

Not yet. Stabbishly uncomfortable in the tummy this morning -- doctor is seeing me in between other patients later on. I'm desperately hoping to be told it's trapped wind and I'm wasting his time!

I don't want to encourage you but do another one pref a different brand. If there's another faint line you'll believe it.

StaceymReadyForNumber3 · 19/06/2012 13:59

superdrug own brand are supposed to be pretty sensitive.

Are you ok OP? Worried about the pain? I had a lot of period type pains aboutthe time my period was due. Try not to panic, if you have any bleeding go along to EPU/A&E

Clarella · 19/06/2012 15:04

If time maybe do another one / brand - doc might test but in my experience the doc test actually didn't register positive till about a week after my first faint line. Some people do report period like cramps but watch for any bleeding x

QueenKong · 19/06/2012 15:09

I had a faint pink line on the day AF was due and immediately did one of those ClearBlue tests that says the word "pregnant" if you are. It said "not-pregnant".

I tested again 2 days later and got my "pregnant" stick which I keep in my bedside cabinet.

Splinters · 19/06/2012 16:25

ooh, thanks for your messages everyone. I've been having cramps for about a week -- in fact period pain + no period (still no bleeding, hooray) was one of the things that made me suspect. But that in combination with a stabbing pain that seemed to reappear at various points in a line from tummy to shoulder had me running round the corner to see if the doctors could fit me in! I'm actually feeling much better now but am off over there in a minute. Now I feel most concerned about being told it's all in my head and I'm not pregnant at all! But I keep looking at that stick, and the line is definitely there and definitely pink! Not faint faint faint actually, just pale pink.
