29 wks and a headache that's lasted a week should I be worried?

I've had a headache for the past week that has varied between bad and horrendous but refuses to budge. I'm taking paraceptamol but it just takes the edge off. I'm pretty sure I don't have PE as I saw mw last week and no protein detected, also I have a bp monitor at home and my bp has remained static at 120/60. Not sure wether to be concerned or just put up with it!

Dehydration? Are you drinking enough?

Small amounts of caffeine may also help.

Call your doctor, no-one here can diagnose you. I did have PE and HELLP syndrome, and a persistant headache was one of the early indicators, so you really do need to get checked out.

I had persistent headache when I was around 20-24 weeks. The reason was that I was anemic. I felt tired and dizzy as well. After taking iron suppliments the headache disappeared and I felt fine.

I got PE later into my pregnancy. I think it started around 34 weeks. But I did not get any headaches even though my BP was high. I was really swollen and that was the first symptom.

Thanks for the posts, I rang my mw and she's of the opinion that it's nothing to worry about. I'll keep an eye on things though and if it doesn't get any better I'll get checked out.
