before i start, i just want to say, DH an i don't mind what sex we have, just having fun in these early stages of trying to have a guess, all for fun! i dont mean to cause any offence to any of u ladies, who have struggled to concieve or are still in the process, as ino these kind of threads can cause upset!
Im just wondering if going by shettles method,if we DTD on ovulation day, the day before, and the day before that, what r out chances of a girl, i understand DTD 3 days prior is suppost to favour a girl, would that still stand? would there be girly spermys still around even when we dtd the day before and on the day? haha, This question has bugged me for a while even before we conceived. x

The shuttles method, in my understanding is that you dtd as far away from ov as possible and then not again as girl sperm are slower but live longer whereas boy sperm are faster but die off quite quickly. So therefor if you dtd on ov day and the day before there would still be plenty of boy spm around.

I'm still of the belief that it is just a 50/50 chance but there is no harm in having fun guessing and trying. Grin

Sorry shettles

I did exactly this and got a boy. I would say chances are 50/50 doing what you did.

We didn't do this on purpose but we did have a girl and dtd 2 days before ov. In fact I was annoyed when I realised because I thought it would be too early-but it wasn't :)
