how long should i wait until a start ttc after having a c-section?

i have had 2 c-setions 1st one in dec 2009 due to having twins, then the 2nd in april 2012, i would love to get pregnant again, but would like to know other people's experiance's

I had my 6-week check up last week and was told to leave it a year if I planned a VBAC or six months if I planned on having an ELCS. Does that help? It was an EMCS, it might be less if yours was planned.
