I am at work and not feeling great - sick and dizzy. Is that just normal? or could it be to do with my lowish iron levels (I am taking spatone now). Should I worry at all? Thanks!

My low iron levels were discovered at about 30 weeks. I had quite a few dizzy spells where I felt as though I needed to sit down. The MW double-checked my blood pressure too though, just to make sure that the dizziness wasn't caused by it being too high.

It might be worth giving the MW a ring just to put your mind at rest.

Best to get checked out it could be your blood pressure or your iron levels, can you get out of work? you should be resting.

I had low iron levels and felt sick & dizzy (it felt a bit like you do if you haven't eaten enought and your blood sugar is low). I would get a blood test done asap.

Hope you are O.K. Tonton. Iron levels could do this, definately. you should go home. How long have you got left at work, now?

Have paged midwife - hopefully they will call soon. Thanks for advice!

Tonton,

How are you doing? I've been wondering. Hope it was nothing serious. Hope you could leave work to relax.

Hi Ponka - the midwife wasn't much help so I went home (luckily not a long commute, just 30 mins or so) and went to sleep! I'm seeing the midwife on tuesaday when they'll test me for iron etc. I think I had probably just overdone it a bit at work - standing up doing a presentation for a couple of hours without a drink. Silly really. But have a few more to give this week - will try and do them sitting down with a big bottle of water! And will definitley go home if feel dizzy again.
