There must be other sufferers of this really rare condition. I really feel so alone , like no one understands what im going through. I have had to be hospitalised three times to be on a drip as I became so dehydrated. I can't go to work because although I'm now on cyclizine anti sickness medication three times a day, this results in me feeling ridiculously drowsy and tired, and although most days it stops me physically being sick, I still constantly feel sick and I have read this can go on throughout the entire pregnancy!! Has this happened to anyone? I'm 12 weeks on Monday and really am hoping my symptoms will subside.

Hi, come and join us all on the support thread. There is no such thing as TMI, and we all feel grotty together. www.mumsnet.com/Talk/pregnancy/a1439697-Hyperemesis-Support#32353540

You have my complete sympathies!!! HG is horrid... but it is all worth it when you have your baby :)

Plus, I had it with DS1, and I don't have it with DS2 Grin

Yes, I had it for the whole of my pregnancy, was also in hospital on several occasions.

It sucks! And it feels like it's neverending ut luckily it will. I'm even contemplating a second DC, so it is doable.

Have also been in hospital three times, and was entirey in bed (at home and hospital) for nine straight weeks in the end. I feel your pain. Come over to the lovely HG thread! Everyone understands over there.

I'm now 15w and although I'm still on loads of drugs and still throwing up daily I am feeling a lot more human than I was even a week or so ago. I think most people do get some improvement, even if it's not complete, during the second trimester. Weeks 6-12 were the worst for me.

If you've been in hospital three times I'm surprised they haven't given you more than cyclizine. Have you seen a consultant since you were last in?
