Tips for carpal tunnel

I'm 31 weeks in my second pregnancy. I really suffered with Carpal Tunnel towards the end of my last pregnancy.

I can feel my right had starting to go again - its weaker than the other arm, and starting to feel sore.

Does anyone have any tips for stopping it/slowing it down/dealing with it?

I've got 7 more weeks at work, and I would like to be able to type and write for as long as possible, and of course it makes things difficult at home as well (although quite a good excuse for not doing the cleaning!)

Old wives tales welcome, I will try anything.

I found moxibustion helped a bit last time, but I don't want to smell all smoky for the next 9 weeks and also its not that easy to do it daily as you really have to be outside otherwise the house stinks.

Don't think mine was as serious as yours, but a sports physio found a band of tight muscle further up my arm and massaging that helped.

blue champagne that's really interesting. I hadn't thought of physio - its worth a try I guess.

Have you tried a wrist splint - even if only at night? It didn't help me tbh,but I know it's helped others.

I had this towards the end of my pregnancy. As it happens my mum works for occupational therapy and she told me that I was actually entitled to just phone up and ask for a wrist splint which of course I did. I did find that it offered some support but I got quite achy during the day from wearing it so I stuck to just night time. Apparently night is when is best to wear it. My doctor was no hope and just told me to get used to it.
