11 weeks and bleeding, what do I do?

Am 11 weeks today. Just been to the loo and there's bright red blood in my knickers.

Feel generally lousy (sent home from work poorly yesterday with what has turned out to be a migraine) but no stomach pain.

Am I overreacting to call the midwife straight away? Am home alone with 2yo, and migraine means i'm not up to driving anywhere anyway, so is there any point?

Help please!

Not over-reacting at all, call the MW. Hope everything is ok x

No, you're not over-reacting. Can you phone your nearest EPAU? I had the same last week and managed to get a scan the same day.

Good luck, hope it's nothing to worry about

Not an over-reaction at all, call in and get some advice. Hope all's well and try not to stress xx

Spoken to mw who has told me to call GP, attempting to get through now...

Huh? Half my post didn't post!

Thanks folks. It's not a huge amount but I'm scared. Dh is actually leaving school at 3pm for the first time ever!

Mw said GP will probably try to get me in to the early pregnancy clinic tomorrow. Am waiting for a call back.

I called mw and they said gp.
Got referal to epac 2days later for scan.

I was 11+6.
Hth, hold tight.

COCKadoodledooo · 14/06/2012 16:54

Was everything ok penguins?

Been to see GP, he was super lovely. Wanted me seen this afternoon but they can't fit me in until Monday morning. He said that if it gets any heavier or I'm in pain before that though to just rock up there and not leave until they've seen me.

Have emailed work to say I won't be in tomorrow, too much of a snotty mess to call.

Just to update those who were kind enough to reply, it's not good news I'm afraid. But thanks again for your positive thoughts x

Cockadoodle, no it wasn't, stopped development at 6-2days, miscarriage at 12-1. It was awful, worse than giving birth by a long way. Be prepared for alot of mess, pain, and put a book by the toilet.
Tmi alert- i was soaking through 2 night towels in less than 20 mins. It was easier not to get off the loo.

Is your oh around to help out?
Hugs, pm if you need to.

Cockadoodledoo: I'm so sorry, I had exactly the same thing a couple of weeks ago & hadn't wanted to reply in case I "jinxed" you. It's awful getting to 11 weeks & thinking everything is ok, then finding out it's not.

In my case, I'd had a 9 week scan & reassured that all was well & extremely unlikely to go wrong. The baby's heart must have stopped a week later but I didn't find out till 11 weeks.

I was given the choice of waiting 5 days to go into hospital & have medical management as they did not advise having it at home at that stage.

Or ERCP the next day. Which I chose.

I'm so sorry you're going through this, it's truly awful xxx

ItWasThePenguins · 17/06/2012 08:38

Wrt options- i had scan on day 2of bleeding. Was given either one or 2 weeks to come back, i chose 2 cos they said if youwait 1 week, then if things aren't sorted, then can choose medical or natural and come back in another week.(hope that makes some sense). By the 2weeks id stopped bleeding and was given all clear.

So sorry cockadoodledoo, hope you're as ok as you can be right now.
