Healthy snacks?

I'm pregnant with dc2 and starting to get concerned about my diet.

My main meals are fine because I dont mind cooking from scratch and I like most foods.

However in between meals I seem to be eating crappy food like crisps/ sausage rolls/ scotch eggs etc, generally not great food.

What quick, healthy snacks can I have in between meals. I do eat fruit but there's only so much I can eat of that!

Any ideas pleeaasseee?!

In waitrose you can get chocolate covered rice cakes which are yummy, and crimbles do apple flavoured rice cakes which are really yummy too.

Browse health food shops. You can find lots of healthy but snacky things.

oat cakes with houmos are yummy, healthy and filling

Another vote for oatcakes. I like mine with a bit of Boursin, or if they are flavoured ones you don't need anything on them.

Some cereal bars are quite healthy, or dried fruit. I also like ice lollies - not so healthy but not too bad either Smile

I ate twiglets in the 1st trimester as they helped with nausea (wanted salty, crunchy and dry stuff). up to now (29 wks) I have eaten fruit, dried fruit, nuts and seeds (walnuts are good for omega 3 - brain food for baby!), muesli bars, individual wrapped cheeses, avocados, oatcakes, humous/tzatziki. Smoothies also fill me up.

I signed up for graze boxes as I just can't do healthy snacks!

Thanks for all the suggestions. I love humous so will start getting that again. I tried to like cereal bars but I just don't. They're bland and dry but will get some dried mixed fruit.

I'd love to buy tons of fruit but it's so expensive. There's a great green grocers in town with cherries, strawberries etc outside which always look sooo tempting. I'm def going to start going there again!
