Can you fall pregnant whilst being on the contraceptive implant?

I have been on the implant for nearly a year and a half now and have been having some pregnancy symptoms recently over the last couple of weeks. My boobs are getting bigger along with my belly and thighs, i also feel very tired which is unusual for me, i feel sick and dizzy almost to the point where i feel i may pass out. Although i am having these symptoms i am bleeding very heavely like i have been since i first got the implant. I would really like to know what people think about my issue and if they have any advice for me as i am begining to become really concerned about being pregnant.

Thanks x

There is no 100% effective contraceptive that isn't surgical!

So I say yes! Poas and find out!

How do you feel about it?

Please get checked out by a GP asap. My sister-in-law was made 'hyper-fertile' by her implant and fell pregnant a few months after getting it.
Even if not pregnant, it sounds like something is needs addressing by a GP. Best of luck however it turns out!

I agree, you need to test and/or see a doctor.

I am surprised to hear you were bleeding heavily on the implant - I thought most people got lighter/no periods with that but I guess every woman is different. However, it does sound like it might not be the best contraceptive choice for you.

As someone has said, no method of contraception is 100% effective so it is possible. (and I am speaking as one with the coil currently waiting for AF to arrive as she's a bit overdue!)
