'12 week' scan rescheduled for 10 weeks + 5 days - is this too early?

Hi, I've just called the hospital to reschedule my '12 week' dating scan as we are away on holiday on the date they gave me (when I would have been 11 weeks + 5 days).

I'm just concerned that 10wks 5 days will be too early for the purposes of the scan?

What do you think? Should I call to re-schedule or not?

Thanks in advance!

Should be fine. My dating scans ended up being at 14 and 17w respectively.

I had mine at 12th week, or so I thought. The ovulation had been later so the real date was 10wks 5 days. The scan went fine. They will reschedule you a new appointment if the scan is too early.

Is it just a dating scan? If so, it won't be too early. But if its also an NT scan, it'll be too early for that. I think it needs to be done between 11+6 and 13+6 or something like that.

Hi Thanks for all your replies.

Unfortunately, the NHS trust where I am in Scotland doesn't offer NT scans due to 'ongoing recruitment' issues. I think I'll pay for this privately though.

I have a private scan booked for 8wks & 4 days so if this shows my dates are out (this being the least of my worries!!) then i can always re-arrange the NHS one.

The hospital I am with seems to do most of the dating scans at around 10 weeks. I had mine at 10+3.
