How do you tell the difference between discharge and waters leaking

Im 38+3 with DC3. With both previous labours my waters have gone near the end of labour. So I have no idea what it would be like if they went before labour started.

I've been having some discharge but this evening it's been a little bit more watery but it's not a constant trickle or anything. Just occasionally.

How do you know if it's discharge or waters?

Thanks.

Waters IMHO smell a bit like sperm. If it was your waters it would normally but not always keep trickling.

If you're not sure then go and get checked out at the hospital.
